Many visitors and locals can be found just on the north side of the Destin bridge at Crab Island. Crab Island is a large shallow sand bar that is protected from the waves but still has the beautiful emerald green waters of the Gulf running through it. Crab Island is a all day all summer long party on the water.

Going back to Destin Harbor you can charter a fishing boat or eat at some of the Harbors best restaurants. Harry T’s is located right on the point of the Destin Harbor and is a 2 leveled restaurant and bar that is known for the best sunsets in Destin. Harry T’s offers daily music and has panoramic views of the Destin Pass, Destin Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico. There are many shops along the Destin Harbor as well for those looking for new clothes, shoes or collectibles.

March and April are the months for the annual cobia tournaments. In June you can get involved with the billfish tournament. But the biggest and most fun for all anglers and ages is the month long Destin Fishing Rodeo held every October.
